How to List Your Hotel Online in Egypt and Receive More Booking Enquiries in 2026
What a useful hotel listing needs, why room types, photos and policies matter more than the description, and exactly how As-home's eight-step hotel onboarding works today, including what happens to a listing with no priced rooms. Written for independent hotels, boutique hotels and small resorts.

To list a hotel on As-home in 2026 you create the listing yourself in an eight-step wizard, and As-home reviews it before it goes live. You need the hotel's basic facts, at least eight photographs, its location, amenities, a description, each room type with a nightly base price, and your check-in, cancellation and booking-mode policies. The rates decide whether the listing produces enquiries: a hotel with no priced room types shows guests "no rooms are currently available to book" and is held out of search engines. As-home listed 23 hotels on 8 September 2026, 19 in Hurghada, so it is an additional Egyptian channel beside the global sites, not a replacement.
Who this guide is for. Owners, operators and general managers of independent hotels, boutique hotels, aparthotels and small resorts in Egypt who want an additional local channel for discovery and booking enquiries. If you rent out a private apartment or chalet rather than a hotel, the vacation-home hosting guide is the one you want.
Most Egyptian hotels already sell through the large international booking sites, and nothing here suggests leaving them. The case for an additional Egyptian platform is narrower and more useful: domestic guests searching in Arabic, families comparing a hotel against a serviced apartment in the same city, and travellers who want to ask a question before they book. This guide explains what a useful listing needs, why each piece matters, and exactly how As-home's onboarding works today, described from the product as it is rather than as a brochure.
What information does a hotel listing need to be useful?
Whatever platform you list on, a guest makes a decision from the same handful of facts. A listing that is missing any of them costs you the booking silently, because the guest simply moves to the next result.
| Element | Why it matters to the guest | What to prepare |
|---|---|---|
| Accurate property facts | Name, type and size set expectations; a mismatch on arrival becomes a bad review. | Legal name, whether independent or part of a chain, total rooms, star category if you hold one. |
| Room categories with prices | Guests compare room types across hotels; a hotel without priced rooms cannot be booked or compared. | Each room type, how many of it you have, bed configuration, base occupancy, and a nightly base price. |
| Photographs | The single biggest driver of a click. Renders and stock photos are spotted immediately. | Real photographs of each room type, the lobby, pool, beach, restaurant and views. As-home requires at least eight. |
| Location | Distance to the beach, the airport and the centre is a filter, not a detail. | The exact map pin and the address as a taxi driver would recognise it. |
| Policies | Cancellation terms and check-in times decide whether a guest books now or keeps looking. | Check-in and check-out times, cancellation policy, house rules, whether you accept instant bookings or confirm each request. |
| Contact details | Reservation and revenue contacts are how a platform reaches you when a guest has a question. | A monitored phone and email for reservations, and a named contact for rates. |
Why do accurate room categories, photographs and policies matter more than the description?
Because they are what a platform can actually act on. A description is read once; room types, prices, photographs and policies are what the search results, the filters and the booking flow are built from. On As-home, the hotel page shows each room type with its price for the guest's dates, and the checkout adds the service charge and applicable taxes on top of the rate you loaded, so the base rate you enter is the number that everything else is calculated from. A wrong rate is worse than no rate, and no rate is bad enough on its own.
The evidence for that last point is first-party. When As-home audited the rate calendars of all 20 Hurghada hotels on the platform on 7 August 2026, nearly half had not loaded a single priced date, and most of the rest ran one flat rate all year. The full analysis is worth reading before you list, because it shows exactly what an empty or flat calendar costs and how to fix it in ninety days.
How does an additional Egyptian platform help a hotel get found?
Three ways, each modest and each real. First, As-home is searched in Arabic by Egyptian guests who compare hotels with apartments in the same city on the same page; a hotel that is absent from that comparison is absent from that guest's shortlist. Second, As-home's destination pages, its Journal articles about Hurghada hotels and its Arabic price guides all link to the hotels listed on it, which is additional discovery a hotel does not have to pay per click for. Third, a listing on As-home is a page under your hotel's name on an Egyptian domain that guests can reach with a question before booking, and that is a channel the largest sites do not offer in the same way.
What it is not: As-home is not a large-volume channel today. It listed 23 hotels on 8 September 2026, 19 of them in Hurghada, with the rest in Marsa Matrouh, Soma Bay and the North Coast. That is why this guide treats it as an additional channel, and why the honest promise is qualified enquiries from a focused audience rather than volume.
Start your hotel listing on As-home
The wizard takes you through basics, photos, location, amenities, description, room types, policies and a final review, and you can save and return at any step. If you would rather talk it through first, the WhatsApp line reaches the onboarding team.
How does As-home's hotel onboarding actually work?
The process below is the product as it exists on 8 September 2026. Nothing is promised here that the wizard does not do.
- Sign in and choose "Hotel". From the List on As-home page you choose the hotel path, or go straight to the hotel wizard. You need an As-home account; if you are not signed in you are asked to sign in and then returned to the wizard.
- Basics. Whether the property is independent or part of a chain, the hotel type, its name, the total number of rooms and, if you hold one, your star category.
- Photos. At least eight, with one chosen as the cover. Room photographs can be added per room type in a later step.
- Location. The address and the map pin.
- Amenities. Selected from a fixed list so guests can filter on them.
- Description. Free text about the hotel.
- Room types. For each: the type, a name, how many rooms of that type, the bed configuration, the base price per night, and the occupancy rules (how many guests the base price covers, the maximum, and the adjustments for an extra adult or a single guest).
- Policies. Check-in and check-out times, whether guests can book instantly or must send a request you confirm, the cancellation policy, and house rules.
- Review and submit. A completeness checklist shows anything missing. When it is complete you submit the listing for review; it stays in a pending state until As-home approves it, and then goes live.
After approval you manage the hotel from the host dashboard: a rate calendar for dated pricing, the room types and their prices, optional packages, and the reservations that come in. As-home does not pull rates from a channel manager; you load them in its calendar, which is why the rate-calendar habit matters. This article does not quote commission, payout timing or contract terms, because they are agreed during onboarding rather than published on the listing; ask for the current terms before you list, and As-home's hosting page states that creating a listing carries no upfront fee.
What happens if you list without rates?
The listing exists, but the hotel page tells guests that no rooms are currently available to book through As-home, points them to other hotels in the same destination, and is held out of search-engine indexing until a bookable room type appears. In other words, a listing without priced rooms produces no enquiries. Load at least one room type with a rate before you expect anything from the channel.
What should a hotel owner prepare before contacting As-home?
- Legal name of the property, and whether it is independent or part of a chain.
- Your tourism licence details from the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities. Egypt's Law 8 of 2022 requires a licence to operate a hotel establishment; a summary of the law is published by Lexology and the Ministry is the authority. This is informational, not legal advice.
- Total room count and a list of room types with bed configuration and base occupancy.
- A base nightly rate per room type, and ideally seasonal rates for the next twelve months.
- At least eight good photographs, plus photographs per room type.
- The address, the map location, and distances to the beach and the airport.
- Check-in and check-out times, cancellation policy, house rules, and whether you want instant booking or request-to-book.
- Reservation and rates contacts who will actually answer.
The exact next step
Open the hotel wizard, complete the eight steps and submit the listing for review; the register link above takes you there. If you want to talk before you type, send the hotel name, the city and roughly how many rooms you have on WhatsApp and the onboarding team will walk you through it. Either way, have at least one room type with a real rate ready, because that is the moment the listing starts working. For what to do with the calendar once you are live, read the rate-calendar analysis, and for what stops any listing being found, the listing audit.
Method and sources
The onboarding steps, the minimum photo count, the room-type and policy fields, the review step and the behaviour of a hotel without priced rooms were verified against the As-home product on 8 September 2026. The hotel count comes from As-home's hotel search on the same date. The rate-calendar findings are from As-home's published audit of 7 August 2026, linked above. Legal points cite a published summary of Law 8 of 2022 and are informational only. No commission, approval time, booking volume or integration is claimed anywhere in this guide.
Frequently asked questions
How do I list my hotel on As-home?
Sign in, choose the hotel path on the List on As-home page, and complete the eight-step wizard: basics, photos, location, amenities, description, room types with nightly prices, policies, and a final review. You then submit the listing, which stays pending until As-home approves it.
What does a hotel listing need to include?
The property's basic facts, at least eight photographs, its location, amenities, a description, each room type with bed configuration, occupancy and a base nightly price, and your check-in, cancellation and booking-mode policies, plus working reservation contacts.
Does listing a hotel on As-home cost anything?
As-home's hosting page states that creating a listing carries no upfront fee. Commission and payment terms are agreed during onboarding and are not quoted in this guide; ask for the current terms before you list.
Can guests book my hotel instantly on As-home?
You choose. In the policies step you set either instant booking, where a guest's reservation is confirmed at once, or request-to-book, where each request comes to you to confirm.
What happens if I do not load room rates?
Your page tells guests that no rooms are currently available to book through As-home, sends them to other hotels in the destination, and is held out of search-engine indexing until a bookable room type exists. A listing without rates produces no enquiries.
Do I need a channel manager to list on As-home?
No. As-home does not pull rates from a channel manager; you enter room types and rates in the wizard and maintain them in the host dashboard's calendar.
