Cala is a residential resort in Sahl Hasheesh, south of Hurghada on the Red Sea, developed by Capital Link Developments. The project was launched in October 2024; at launch the developer described an 800-unit development on about 77,000 m², with an investment of around EGP 5 billion, design and engineering supervision by ACE Moharram Bakhoum, and plans to partner with an international hotel operator (as reported by Invest-Gate, 30 October 2024). According to the developer, the resort is planned around an 8,000 m² lagoon with a natural sandy beach and six swimming pools, with buildings covering only about 20% of the land and the remainder given to landscaping, water features and open space. The developer's renders show clusters of three- to four-level buildings arranged along a landscaped central spine of palms and water channels, with a clubhouse on the lagoon. Units range from studios to three-bedroom apartments of roughly 50 to 155 m² at launch, delivered fully finished with air conditioning and kitchen fittings. The developer's availability sheet of 24 October 2026 lists 31 available units: two- and three-bedroom apartments on the entrance and first levels, two- and three-bedroom garden apartments with private gardens of about 19 to 47 m², and one- and two-bedroom top-floor units and penthouses with roof decks of about 52 to 88 m². Views are classified as pool view, full view of the central spine, partial sea view or limited view. List prices range from about EGP 9.0 million to EGP 12.2 million. The developer's current payment plan offers 10% down over 7 years, 6% down over 6 years, or 0% down over 5, 3 or 2 years, with discounts off the list price that rise as the term shortens, up to 35% for cash.
